- Who
- Heritage Bluffs Golf Club (The Bluffs), a public golf course of the Channahon Park District in Channahon, Illinois, south of Joliet, established in 1993. AI phone receptionist by SpeakSport.
- Problem
- Tee time requests, pricing questions and cancellations came in by phone while golfers queued at the counter to check in. Every ring pulled staff away from the guests in front of them, and on a course this busy the team could not keep up with the call volume.
- Agent
- SpeakSport's AI receptionist answers the club's phone line day and night. It books tee times directly in the tee sheet, answers everyday questions about hours, rates, course conditions and policies, and transfers anything that needs a human touch to the golf shop team.

Try it yourself with SpeakSport
You are the front desk lead of a golf, tennis or padel club. Goal: write the call script and rules for an AI phone receptionist that books and answers routine calls, with my team taking over the rest. My input: [the 30 most common phone questions we get, with our usual answers], [opening hours, prices, booking and cancellation rules], [our booking system and how far ahead players can book], [who on the team takes transferred calls, and when]. Give me: 1) the call types ranked by how often they come up; 2) a short, friendly answer for each routine one; 3) the step-by-step flow for booking a tee time or court by phone; 4) the calls the assistant must transfer to a person, and what it says while transferring; 5) what to do with calls outside opening hours. Use only my data. When in doubt, transfer to a person. What we can do for your club or brand
Tennis, padel and golf clubs all lose bookings to a phone that rings while the desk is busy or closed. The Court can set up an AI phone receptionist that answers every call, books courts or tee times in your booking system and passes anything delicate to a named person on your team, so your front desk spends its time with the members in front of it.

What they did
The club put SpeakSport's AI receptionist on its phone line. It answers every call, early in the morning, during the day and after the shop closes, books tee times straight into the tee sheet and answers routine questions. Anything that needs a person is transferred to the golf shop team, who stay with the golfers checking in.
How it went
SpeakSport reports that in July it answered all 2,212 calls, completed 657 bookings and saved an estimated 55+ hours of staff time. Outside business hours it answered 470 calls that would otherwise have gone to voicemail; 136 became bookings, and SpeakSport puts after-hours revenue at $29,731. Michael Huber of Heritage Bluffs says: "We have been able to observe our staff engaging our golfers differently as they now have the time to provide the service we have always desired to give our guest but at times struggled to be able to do because of constant phone calls coming in." Limits: figures are the vendor's own; the page does not say which year's July or how the revenue was calculated; no independent source found.
