Walden Golf Group's voice AI books tee times so staff can focus on golfers
20+Operator's own verdict, not a benchmark: Steven Schorr says the voice AI 'has provided returns in excess of the cost within a few months', that it frees staff to focus on the golfer experience, and that Walden is now installing it on all its courses. Walden then invested in CourseRev.ai's seed round, and CourseRev.ai's president runs a golf management company with a long-standing Walden relationship. No call volume, booking count or revenue figure is published.
“As an owner and operator of more than 20 golf courses, we have seen first hand how effective CoursRev.ai is at both allowing us to provide maximum customer satisfaction at first contact as well as freeing up our staff to focus on the golfer experience. […] we are now installing it on all of our courses and it has provided returns in excess of the cost within a few months.”

- Who
- The Walden Golf Group, subsidiary of The Walden Group (founded 1993), which owns and operates more than 20 golf courses in the US, and CourseRev.ai, a golf AI startup whose Voice Concierge books tee times by phone. Walden invested in CourseRev.ai's seed round in August 2025.
- Problem
- Golf courses take many bookings and questions by phone, and when the pro shop is busy the call can go unanswered. Across 20+ courses, Walden wanted golfers looked after well at first contact without pulling staff away from the golfers already on site.
- Agent
- CourseRev.ai's Voice Concierge picks up the course phone and handles tee-time bookings through natural conversation: it answers questions about the course, applies the course's booking rules and books the slot. Staff in the pro shop spend their time with the golfers in front of them. CourseRev.ai also sells chatbots and dynamic pricing tools; the Walden case is about the voice assistant.

Try it yourself with CourseRev.ai Voice Concierge (voice AI)
You are the phone and booking assistant for our [golf course / tennis or padel club]. Goal: answer callers and book slots the way our front desk would. My input: [opening hours], [booking rules: who can book, how far ahead, prices, cancellations], [FAQs: parking, dress code, rentals, lessons], [when to hand over to staff]. Give me: 1) a short greeting; 2) the questions to ask to book a slot, in order; 3) answers to the ten most common questions; 4) the hand-over line for anything outside the rules. Never confirm a booking that breaks a rule, and pass complaints to a person. What we can do for your club or brand
Clubs and multi-site operators can put a voice or chat assistant on bookings and routine questions so the front desk spends its time with players on site, with clear hand-over rules to staff. The Court can turn that into a sourced public case and the content that shows members and partners how the club handles calls and bookings, without inventing results that are not published.

What they did
Walden Golf Group deployed CourseRev.ai's Voice AI on its courses: the Voice Concierge answers the phone, handles course questions and books tee times by natural conversation using each course's booking rules. After seeing results, Walden made a strategic investment in CourseRev.ai's seed round (announced 14 August 2025) to fund product development, key hires and go-to-market. Principal Steven Schorr says Walden is now installing it on all of its 20+ courses.
How it went
The August 2025 release says Walden achieved significant gains in revenue and customer satisfaction after deploying the voice AI. Schorr says it lets the courses give 'maximum customer satisfaction at first contact' while 'freeing up our staff to focus on the golfer experience', and that it 'has provided returns in excess of the cost within a few months'. Limits: both sources relay the same vendor announcement; the operator then invested in the vendor, and CourseRev.ai's president has a long-standing business link with Walden. No calls, bookings or revenue figures are published.
